Humberto Hernandez began his career as an artist in his native country of Mexico. In his family, jewelry making has been passed down through generations. His grandfather and father also worked with silver and taught him much of what he knows. Each piece is hand fabricated using sterling silver, gold, copper and brass. Only the finest semi precious stones are used and each piece is signed. Humberto begins by drawing the designs on paper. He then uses a jewelers hand saw to carve the designs from a sheet of sterling silver. He adds other metals soldering them together. Humberto hand selects beautiful, unusual stones and incorporates them into his pieces using bezel settings. He has a good eye for color and what stones work with others. Humberto Hernandez has created signature collections each year and continues to explore new stones, settings and designs.
